Tracing Our Asian American Histories, Faith, and Roots
A Pilgrimage Walk from Little Tokyo to Chinatown
Details & Registration HERE
Join Rev. Ken Schoon for this two-mile journey through early Asian American Los Angeles. Drawing on original archival research and his own family's histories spanning from the 1880s through World War II, he will share stories that offer glimpses of everyday Asian American life across generations—including how these neighborhoods and early Hollywood brought Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, and Korean Americans into close proximity and even shared community.
Optional lunch: Participants are welcome to join an informal lunch gathering at 11:15 a.m. at Marugame Monzo before the tour. If you are interested, please indicate so on your registration.
Please arrive at the meeting location by 12:15 p.m. for introductions and orientation. Allow extra time for traffic. The tour departs promptly at 12:30 p.m.
This walking tour is free & included in your weekend PAAC ticket but separate registration is needed.
